Would you agree that creationism/ ID are bad theology as well as bad science?

I mean, that they are bad science goes without saying and doesn't need to be elaborated on. But theologically it implies that God is sitting around tinkering with his creation, doing magic and violating his own physical laws. Christians what do you think about that?
