Pac-Seaman Job in the NAVY?

PACT- SN is a program that is the same as Undesignated Seaman. Meaning you will go to boot for 8 weeks and then when everyone else goes to A school you will remain behind at Great Lakes for Basic Seamanship school. Then you will be sent to a ship where you will chip paint, sweep floors, mess crank , clean heads and do deck work for 2 years until you can Strike for a Rating. Then you most likely will need to reenlist to take some Ratings. Don't count on getting a Rating in boot camp. If you want a rating, now is the time to change it. I would never ship out with this deal
