I am doing a school project for my advertising cl about a merger?

between McDonalds and KFC. The mascot will either be Ronalds McDonald's face superimposed on Colonel Sanders or Colonel Sanders face superimposed on Ronald McDonald. The trademark will either be a bucket filled with little arches or giant arches made up of buckets. What do you think I should do? Also one of my friend's dad's told me I should not even do this project at all cause McDonalds is know for sending thugs to rough up anyone who tampers with their trademark - even if it's just a high school student doing a project - is this true?
