Joke: "This is Owen Hughes", reply "do you", this joke was featured in Gavin and Stacey, I am baffled?

Don't know the asnwer but definitely not the last suggestion re. Owen Hughes as in Owe Wayne Hughes as the name is not Owen but is Owain (O-wine) so this wouldn't make a bit of sense!!!!!
